I will dominate 'legitimate boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to publicize next month's boxing match.

Ex two-time world title holder Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge mismatch - at Miami venue on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I will damage his features and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to seriously aim to injure him. That's my goal."

Respectful Exchange

Despite such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually known for his theatrics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul instead targeted ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British opponent Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Opponent

Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

However, the novice remains one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, regularly earning substantial paydays.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in round four or five and claimed he would prevent the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.

"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.

Size Difference

As both boxers participated in the traditional stare-down, with their size difference on show, it highlighted just how unlikely this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the fight is truly proceeding.
